CGV - General rental conditions at the gîte L'Éterle, in Aucun

1 - Conclusion of the contract:

The reservation will become effective only after payment of the total amount of the stay by our online payment system on our website leterle.com or by bank transfer. The rental amount includes charges, water and electricity consumption.

Tourist taxes are payable in addition.

Length of stay: the customer who confirms their reservation for a specific period may not, under any circumstances, claim any right to remain on the premises at the end of the stay.

When booking, a credit card deposit of 1000 EUR will be requested through our trusted partner: Swikly. You will receive a link to a Swik Caution to set up before entering the premises.

The deposit is mandatory, without this deposit effective before your arrival, your reservation will be canceled and no refund will be possible. Please note that the inventory of fixtures at the start and end is not mandatory in the context of seasonal rentals .

If no inventory is drawn up, the presumption of good condition (article 1731 of the Civil Code) therefore applies: the seasonal tenant is presumed to have received the accommodation in good condition and must return it in the same condition when leaving the premises.

On the day of your arrival you will receive a link to do the Swikly photo checkin in case you notice a problem.

If damage is noticed upon exit and it is not your responsibility, it will be up to you to provide proof to the contrary.

2 - Cancellation:

Any cancellation must be made by email or telephone according to our conditions defined below:

Cancellation by the owner:

  • In agreement with the customer, the owner will endeavour to offer equivalent replacement accommodation. In the absence of agreement, payments made will be immediately and fully refunded.

Cancellation by the customer:

  • Cancellation 30 days or more before the start of the stay: 100% of the stay will be refunded.
  • Cancellation between the 30th and 14th day inclusive before the start of the stay: 20% of the price of the stay will be retained.
  • Cancellation between the 14th and 7th day inclusive before the start of the stay, 50% of the price of the stay will be retained.
  • Cancellation 7 days or less before the start of the stay, 100% of the price of the stay will be retained.

In the event of a shortened stay, the total rental price will remain entirely acquired by the owner, no refund will be made.
Unless prior written agreement is obtained from the owner, no reduction in the number of tenants defined in the contract may result in a reduction in the rental price.
It is highly recommended to take out cancellation insurance with a company. I suggest Chapka insurance. It offers a negotiated product that suits us: It is the product:"Tranquil'loc"

3 - Arrival:

The customer must arrive on the specified day and at the specified time, between 5 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.

In case of late or delayed arrival, the client must notify the owner and a key box, the code of which will be communicated the day before, will allow you to access our house.

4 - Tourist tax:

The tourist tax is a local tax. It is 2.38€ per adult person. The owner is the collector of this tax, that is to say us.

It is payable on the day of your arrival at L'Éterle and will be taken from your credit card provided as a guarantee when booking.

5 - Inventory:

When you enter the premises the cottage is clean and everything is functional. If this is not the case, contact us immediately by phone or email so that the damage or malfunctions are not attributed to you upon your departure.

Please respect the premises and leave the cottage clean. The accommodation must be left clean and tidy, the dishes cleaned and put away. The dishwasher emptied.

During his stay the client will comply with the various instructions displayed in the cottage. There are various frames in the cottage available which mention these instructions.

The cleaning of the premises is carried out by Isard Propreté, but you must return the accommodation tidy. In the event of non-cleanliness, additional cleaning costs may be charged (€100) and in the event of breakage or damage to furniture, walls or decoration, a deduction from the deposit will be made.

In case of damage during the stay, please notify the owner. The owner will do what is necessary to make the repairs. Upon presentation of the invoice, the owner will claim the value of the replacement price from the customer. Under no circumstances may the customer carry out the repair himself. This is a question of compliance.

7 - Security deposit:

THE security deposit of 1000 EUR is generally requested 15 days before entering the premises thanks to our partner Swikly.

This security deposit will be released after departure and cleaning if no damage is noted after departure. If the security deposit is insufficient to pay the amounts owed by the tenant to remedy the damage noted, the latter undertakes to pay any excess charges.

8 - Capacity:

This contract is established for maximum capacity.

  • 8 adults or 4 adults and 4 minors can be accommodated at L'Éterle. The ideal is 6 adults.
  • Up to 2 dogs maximum can be accommodated at L'Éterle.

The number of people and possibly animals accepted is defined at the time of booking and can only be modified upon prior request to the owners.

9 - Insurance:

The tenant is responsible for all damages caused by him.

The tenant is required to insure against rental risks (fire, water damage, etc.) either by a "holiday" extension or by a specific contract limited to his stay. See civil liability insurance covering his own liability and that of the persons accompanying him.

10 - Disputes:

In the absence of an agreement between the client and the owner, the owner will submit the file to the legal department of his insurance.

The court of the owner's domicile shall have sole jurisdiction.

This contract and its consequences are subject to French law.

11 - Home:

Check-in is independent and a key box is available. The code is provided the day before arrival. A personalized welcome is possible on request only.

The welcome booklet is sent in digital form and is available in the house to explain everything there is to know about the house and the jacuzzi.
